The HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. 

HeartCode ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. 

Online Modules will be made available in RQI as soon as a Life Support team member processes your registration, typically handled Monday-Friday 0830-1530. You will need to bring your certificate of online completion with you to class. Attendance is not permitted without your certificate.

AHA ACLS materials can be purchased at ACLS Products | American Heart Association and are not required for this course.

ACLS Provider manuals can also be borrowed from the D-H Library.

• DH staff/travelers are required to use their DH email to register for Life Support classes. New hires who have not yet been issued a DH email, please include your start date and hiring manager’s name in the registration under “Comments/Special Requests”.
• Geisel School of Medicine students are required to use their Geisel email.

*Please note, attending an ACLS class does not also certify staff in BLS. Please refer to Policy 9905 for clarification.
